The Center for Gender, Sexualities, and Women’s Research offers an interdisciplinary forum for the study of gender and sexualities, their intersections with race/ethnicity, class, and other sociocultural systems, and their functions in cultures and societies. Feminist intersectional and other theoretical approaches and methodologies are employed.
In a regular colloquium series, faculty and invited speakers present their research or creative endeavors to the public. An annual retreat facilitates mentoring and networking for women faculty and professional staff. The Center distributes a semi-annual newsletter and an occasional update focusing on gender studies.
The Center for Women's Studies and Gender Research Collection may include syllabi, newsletters, faculty publications, historical materials, and other materials that help to document the history and the ongoing impact of the Center.
