P.O. Box 1987
St. Augustine, Florida 32084

Dear Mr. Griffin:

I am replying to your letter of August 6 addressed to
Bill McMillen.

We have known for a long time that the school in St.
Augustine is not the oldest wooden school house in the country.
We describe our Voorlezer's House as the oldest known elemen-
tary school house in the country, built in 1695. I enclose
herewith a xerox copy of our folder The Story of The Voorlezer's
House which tells the s tory. This folder is being reprinted
to bring it up to date. Should you desire further informa-
tion we will be very glad to furnish it to you.

We trust that this information will give you the answers
that you desire.

Your very truly,

ymond C. Fingado,
Admini rative Assista
