Dear Mr. Hunt:
The City Utilities Department has reviewed your preliminary application of July
14, 1998 for separation of water service and offers the following comments. A copy of your
application is attached for your information and records.
Water service is currently available and a tap is existing.
Please note that the City's determination of availability of service at this time
indicates only that the City's existing systems are currently connected to your property and that
treatment capacity currently exists. It is not a commitment for service. A commitment for
service will occur when the appropriate fees are received by the City. Furthermore, this
determination of availability relates only to this application. Any change of application
information or data will void this determination and will require a new application.
Additionally, the following cost estimates and supplemental information are
presented for your consideration:

Based on our review of your application, the total fees, excluding deposits, are
$140 payable to the City of St. Augustine. If you wish to pay these fees, please call our office
(825-1040) to schedule payment. PLEASE DO NOT MAIL PAYMENT TO THE CITY.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
1. City records indicate that an unused tap, box and service line stubbed out to
the west side of the wall are currently available on St. George Street. One
new in line backflow preventer for this service is required.
2. The City assumes the continued use of the existing water tap for the first floor
of the building.
3. No sewer tapping fees have been estimated because the City assumes that a
tap is existing and available for use. The City assumes the continued use of
this existing sewer tap.
4. Separation of water services will result in individual water, sewer and storm
drainage billings at each location. Please advise the City of the square
footage of the building served by each water meter to ensure accurate storm
drainage billings.
5. No new or additional flows are anticipated because of this separation of
service.

The above cost estimates are considered to be preliminary and are subject to City
rate ordinances and actual construction costs. The City has attempted to be as accurate as
possible; however, these estimates cannot be guaranteed.

information related to deposits to activate this account.
