merce paid tribute to the
"Tremendous accomplish-
ments" achieved under the
leadership of the late Prime
Minister, Dr. Eric Williams.
Commenting on Dr.
Williams death, on Sunday
evening, The Chamber said:
"On this sad occasion, the
South Trinidad Chamber of In-
dustry and Commerce, Inc.,
pays tribute to the tremen-
dous accomplishmrents
achieved under the eadersip
of our late Prime Minister,
the Rt. Hon. Dr. Eric
Wilhams, for he was, indeed,
the Father of this Nation.
FINANCIALLY VIABLE
"History will record that
during his time as Prime
Minister, Trinidad and To-
bago rose from relative obs-
curty, as a poor Third World
country, to a financial viable
republic, last-developing as an
industrial nation.
"The South Trinidad Cham-
ber, being the first and only
chamber that the Prime-
Minister addressed during his
years in office, ,.the
originator of the PtrN a
project, which our late Prime
Minser endorsed and
developed, expressed its deep
sympathy to t~s family, and
joins with the nation in
mourning his passing."

tribute to the tremendous accomplishments achieved under the leadership of our late Prime
Minister, the Rt. Hon. Dr. Eric Williams, for he was, indeed, the Father of this Nation.

"History will record that during his time as Prime Minister, Trinidad and Tobago rose from
relative obscurity, as a poor Third World country, to a financial viable republic, last-
developing as an industrial nation.
"The South Trinidad Chamber, being the first and only chamber that the Prime-Minister
addressed during his years in office, and the originator of the Point Lisas project, which our
Late Prime Minister endorsed and developed, expressed its deep sympathy to his family,
and joins with the nation in mourning his passing."
