Notes (The document is in very bad condition and it is almost illegible.)
Mr. Governor and Captain General, With attention to the antecedent Superior
Deoree of Your Lordship, I mat says That it is true that by one side of
the lot of which we are dealing, East-W t, there is an alley (oallsjOn)
that they say they did not find it when we ame. What really is true is
that in the middle of that alley there are some orange trees which of
course, they show it as a lot. All of this, plus the dilansions registered
in the deed, especially the two, the one that faces the house of the oan-
mander of Artillery Don Pedro Josef Saloedo, and the one of the rear, to
the Castillo. That this is what I am able to inform Your Lordship about
this particular thing. St. Augustine, Florida, October 30, 1788.
