RE: Government House East Wing
Renovation/
Haas House Renovation

Dear Nat:
Attached you will find two copies of Phase I Drawings for the
Renovation of the Haas House. You will also find attached an
estimate of the construction costs for each of the items included
in the Scope of Work as indicated on the Drawings.
As we previously discussed, to renovate this House completely will
cost in excess of the $25,125 allocated. Our Bid Documents will be
designed so that each item included in the Scope of Work will
become a separate bid item from which we can choose. According to
the wishes of the Preservation Board, we will choose those bid
items that come closest to the budgeted figure.
We will also be bidding the pouring of the concrete slab for the
ground floor of the Government House. We estimate this to cost in
the neighborhood of $7000-$8000. The monies allocated for that
work amount to $15,000. Therefore, any excess will be attached to
the monies needed for renovating the Haas House.
