Mr. Herbert Wolfe,
P.O. Box 484,
St. Augustine, Fla.
Dear Herb:
I am back in Washington with my family for the
holidays and plan to return to Florida about January 3d.
Just as soon as Congress reconvenes and I can get a chance
to talk with Spessard about the disposal of the St.Augustine
Post Office, I will let you know.
There has been some confusion growing out of two
or three different approaches to the matter, one from the
City, another from the County, and another from the Historical
Restoration and Preservation Commission, all coming in at
various times. I think that now the field of choices has been
narrowed down. We can renew our request with GSA "with vigor"
for the building to be incorporated in the restoration program
either under Federal or State Jurisdiction.
With my warmest personal regards to you and yours
and best wishes for a wonderful Yuletide Season, I am
Sincerely,
D.R. MATTHBWS, M.C.
