Mrs. R. P. Miner, President
Hibiscus Garden Club
270 Cervantes Avenue
St. Augustine, Florida 32084

Dear Mrs. Miner:

The Historic St. Augustine Preservation Board is extremely pleased
that your club chose the area behind Government House for the
planting of a tree which furthers the beautification of St. Augustine.
The healthy little live oak which you have so graciously provided
will in time provide a fine tree in the downtown area.

Even though "great oaks from little acorns grow", it takes time.
Foresight such as yours will provide a continuation of fine specimen
trees when those that have reached and passed their peak must be
removed.

Thank you again for your contribution to our city.

Sincerely yours,

John W. Griffin
