In a telephone conversation last night, Mr. Loren Brown
authorized me to write to you requesting historical and
archeological research on his property, the former site
of the Alencia Hotel, south St. George St.

Mr. Brown understands that no expense will be incurred by
him as a result of this research and excavation and that
information attained therefrom..ill be made available to
him.

For your convenience I am enclosing a copy of the survey
of this property.

You also might be interested to know that the earliest
item in the abstract cites a deed from Governor Zespedes
of Florida to Antonio Canovas dated 1789.
