DIVISION OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS
HISTORIC ST. AUGUSTINE
PRESERVATION BOARD

Mr. Robert Williams, Director
Division of Archives, History and
Records Management
Department of State
The Capitol
Tallahassee, Florida 32304

Dear Mr. Williams:

The enclosed plans and specifications for the restoration of
the Joaneda House in St. Augustine, Florida, are being sub-
mitted to your office for transmittal to the National Park
Service for approval under the federal matching grant in the
amount of $41,238.00.

Although there was a long period of inaction pending the
deeding of the property to the Historic St. Augustine
Preservation Board, we have since that time been moving for-
ward as rapidly as possible. These plans and specifications
were executed promptly by the architect, and we trust that
anything possible will be done to speed up the approval
process so that we may begin the actual restoration work at
the earliest possible moment.

Sincerely,

'I .

John W. Griffin, Director
"Historic St. Augustine
Preservation Board
