TO: HECTOR MIRON

SUBJECT: FUTURE USE OF JOANEDA HOUSE
Today I got a call in regards to future use of the Joaneda House.
It was referred to me by Edna as "someone wanted to know about
the house on Treasury Street." The person asked if we planned to
sell or rent the Joaneda House. I told the person that he would
have to contact you for a specific answer.
I stated that to the best of my knowledge the Joaneda House was
not on the list of surplus properties to be sold by the board and
that we were not planning to sell it. I also stated that I
didn't know if we would be renting it in the future, but that I
understood that it was at present available to visiting
dignitaries and guests of the Preservation Board. Of course I
know that Mr. Newton will be staying there in the immediate
future.
The staff needs to be informed about the plans for this structure
so they can answer questions accurately.
