MEMO FOR THE RECORD:


Per telephone conversation with Ms. Winifred Hill, Tax Collector, on.
13 December,the 1976 and 1975 taxes had been cancelled on a ruling
from County Attorney Willard Howatt that the property was held by a
non-profit institution the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of
Florida.

Mr. Jack E. Cowart, Mrs. Elizabeth Towers' attorney, was 'so advised
14 December 1976, and informed that the Preservation eard would not
pursue the matter unless it received a subsequent ta.x bill on the
Joaneda property.
