DATE: August 7, 1973
SUBJECT: Montgomery (Yaneda) House

Report on telephone conversation with Randy Nanmicht, Historic Preserva-
tionist. Department of Arch!4s. History andt Records % agaeMentt Tallahasee.
Nimnicht reports that the federal appropriation for historic preservation
has not yet passed Congress. hen- this is done, the Depaitment of the
Interior will allocate the funds to the several states based on a formula.
Until notification of the amount of this allocation Is received in Talla-
hassee, they will not know how much money -they have to work with. This
Information should be available In the fall, but perhaps as late as November

The Yaneda House project has a high priority in the state program, and pros-
pects appear good if the total federal program is adequately funded.
