Dear Mr. Maroney:
The enclosed material represents various segments of
the comprehensive historic preservation plan this agency
prepares in fulfilling its statutory obligations and in
order to be eligible for continued federal funding under
the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966. The
enclosed material represents advanced drafts of the plan
which is also currently being reviewed by the Florida
Review Committee for the National Register of Historic
Places in accordance with the current requirements out-
lined in "Historic Preservation Grant-In-Aid Policies
and Procedures", United States Department of the Interior,
National Park Service, Office of Archeology and Historic
Preservation. As outlined in "Policies and Procedures"
and in accordance with OMB Circular A-95, you are
requested to review this materials We are requesting you
undertake your review in draft -f6rm prior to its pub-
lication.
Please note that the apportionment warrant (Form
WASO-169) lists those prejets which a_ QJ ih nder
the funding _critra established by the Department of
the Interior. The total dollar value of those projects
is used in computing what proportion of the congressional
appropriation for the program Florida will receive in
the upcoming fiscal year. Once Florida is informed of
that amount, the Clearinghouse will be requested to
comment on individual preservation projects prior to
federal funds being obligated.
