Subject: Restoration of Montgomery House


Enclosed is a copy of a memorandum from Bob Steinbach reporting on his
conversations with Randy Nimnicht, chief of the Bureau of Historic Sites
and Properties in Tallahassee, on the funding situation for restoration.
It would appear to be quite promising, particularly in terms of the federal
funds. These federal funds, incidentally, are ones which are ordinarily
not available to us as they must be used for restoration and not reconstruc-
tion.

Bob Steinbach is going ahead to try to make some reasonable estimates of
project costs which would be involved in the restoration of this house, and
he should have this information shortly.
