Dear John
We are in the prooeas of assembling a oaci.
of-title for block 15, let I and wonder if you c0 ld proof
video title abstract of this property as it would facilitate
searching in the clerk's office.
A search of graphic material sources has uncovered
an engraving of the Plasa area that wa possibly done as
early as 1829 and poeatively no later than 1839 when it was
published in "1ho fPaily Magasine for Useful knowledge,*
(Inc. #1).
Using this material in conjunction with Roeque'*
nap of 1788 and a later photograph of oa. 1887 (Inel. #2),
a relatively acoumate St. George St. faoado can be represent*
ed as it probably appeared in cae 1821 (see attached sketch).
The dimensions are conserativo. It should be noted here
that an archaeological investigation of the site would be
necessary in order to establish the exact also and location,
however the information biven on the sketch should be
sufficiently accurate for preliminary planning*
We shall continue to persue the documentary research
which hopefully will tell us when the houses acquired their
second stories. Should you have any questions n the meantime
please call.
Cordially.
