EXPLANATION
QUATERNARY
Qu Undifferentiated quartz sands. May consist in part of
reworked Cirronelle. Fine to coarse grained with varying
percentages of silt and clay.
z TERTIARY
Th Hawthorn Group. Sandy clays, silt, occasional carbonates.
May locally contain phosphate.
Tmc Miccosukee Formation. Clayey sand to sandy clay with cla
stringers and lenses, ocassionally cross bedded, reddish
orange to brick red, oxidized, poorly to moderately
+ consolidated.
To Ocala Limestone. White to gray, fossiliferous, moldic
limestone. Variable from packstone to grainstone.
Ts Suwannee Limestone. Marine limestone, fossiliferous, varies
from poorly recrystallized to well recrystallized,
packstone to grainstone. Minor silicilastic component.
