News & Notes
Welcome back! As mentioned in the
ORB in August, 2008, the primary goal
for OER during the fall semester was to
continue to provide the full array of
outstanding services to researchers that
it provided in recent years, despite the
added responsibilities of faculty
development and graduate studies and
no additional resources. Thanks to Ana,
Cyndi, and the OER staff, I believe we
were successful in meeting this goal.
Although the New Year is a time for
looking back on the past, it is also a time
for looking forward to the coming year.
It's a time to reflect on the changes we
want (or need) to make and to resolve to
follow through on those changes.
In this New Year, the OER will be
working closely with the Research
Advisory Committee of the Faculty
Policy Council to assess the services we
currently provide, to improve upon
those services if possible, and to identify
new ways to support the research
mission of the College. We will provide
ample opportunity for input from
faculty and graduate students. We
appreciate your time and look forward
to receiving your input.
Have a wonderful and productive spring
semester!
