Abstract: |
Original identification: None Re-determination by Kent Perkins (KP) or J. Richard Abbott (JRA): 16 - definitely a species of Solidago (Asteraceae); direct study of the specimen is needed, as is comparison with herbarium material, especially given the near lack of leaves (what leaves are present do not seem to match well any of our species); the inflorescence is unusual in being so compact; i simply can not make out, with certainty, the defining features from this scan (fine hairs just don't seem to scan well; and other features scan in such a way as to suggest hairs that might not be present). perhaps a Solidago specialist could i.d. this?
17 - Rhexia mariana L. (Melastomataceae) |
