Abstract: |
Original identification: 10 (Joseph Ewan) Vaccinium arboreum Marsh.
11 (Joseph Ewan) Aristolochia (probably) convolvulacea Small
12 (Joseph Ewan) Jussiaea leptocarpa Nutt. Re-determination by Kent Perkins (KP) or J. Richard Abbott (JRA) 10 ! V. arboreum Marsh. (Ericaceae)
11 whoa! Ewan way off. this is Matelea pubiflora (Decne.) Woodson (Apocynaceae, including Asclepiadaceae)
12 this is quite possibly Ludwigia leptocarpa (Nutt.) H. Hara (Onagraceae); Ewan's name is a synonym. fruits, lacking here, are needed for absolute certainty. this species is variable; this specimen is consistent with material here at FLAS (the UF herbarium), but there are several other, very similar-looking species. |
