Introduction
A major programme of Anthropological, Ethnographic and
Archaeological film and video productions is being featured
during the Vancouver Phase (Phase II) of the XI International
Congress of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences. The
programme is divided into two distinct sections which run
concurrently during the entire six days of the Vancouver
aspect of the Congress.
A. (F-100) Film Programme
- films will be shown in the Robson Square Media Centre, 350
seat Cinema, beginning at 9:30 a.m. each day of the
Congress.
- there will be no introductions or discussion of film content
in this section of the film programme.
B. (F-207) Volunteered Film and Video Programme
- presentations will take place in the Robson Square Media
Centre, 150 seat Theatre, beginning at 9:30 a.m. on each day
.of the Congress.
- this section of the programme is sponsored by the
Educational Foundation for Anthropology and the Public
(B.C. Programmes).
- a 20 minute discussion period will follow each programme
presentation.
Information for Film/Video Programme Presenters
A number of films to be shown have been purchased by the
Public Archives of Canada to be kept in Canada as a sample of
worldwide cultural and sociological expression in the film and
video mediums. The organizers of the XI ICAES wishes to
express their thanks to the Public Archives of Canada for their
support and interest in the programme of the Congress.
Participants in the Film/Video Programme should confirm
their arrival at the Registration/Information Desk located in the
Robson Square Media Centre. If there are Canada Customs

Le Festival se deroulers au Coordonnateur du
programme:
Robson Square Media Centre, Pierre Malcolm Stevens,
Vancouver Bureau des archives visuelles
(Colombie-Britannique) et sonores, Archives publiques
du Canada, Ottawa
Introduction
Lors de la phase II du XIe Congres International des Sciences
Anthropologiques et Ethnologiques, il y aura une grande
presentation de films et de bandes video sur I'ethnographie et
I'archeologie. Le programme se subdivise en deux sections
distinctes qui se derouleront en parallele durant les six jours
lors desquels le Congres A Vancouver.
A (F-100) Programme du film
La projection aura lieu dans la salle de 350 places du Robson
Square Media Cente, A partir de 9h30 tous les jours. La
projection se fera sans introduction ou discussion sur le
continue des films.
B (F-107) Programme des films et des bandes video
La projection aura lieu dans la salle de 150 places du Robson
Square Media Centre, a partir de 9h30 tous les jours. Cette
section du programme est parrainee par la Educational Foun-
dation for Anthropology and the Public (Colombie-Britan-
nique); chacune des presentations sera suivie d'une discussion
de vingt minutes.
Participation des media et du grand public
Lors de la phase II du XIe Festival du film du CISAE, I'entree
sera libre. Le public est invite, comme les representants des
media et les participants a titre official, a prendre part aux
discussions concernant les presentations video.
Renseignements a l'intention de ceux qui front des presentations
de films ou de bandes video
Plusieurs des films qui seront presents ont ete achetes par
les Archives publiques du Canada, l'intention etant de les con-
server au Canada en tant qu'expressions internationales sur les
plans cultural et sociologique. Les organisateurs du festival
remercient les Archives publiques du Canada de leur appui et
de l'interet qu'elles ont manifestoes au programme du
Congress.
Les participants au programme des presentations de films et
de bandes video sont pries d'aviser le Bureau d'inscription de
leur arrivee. Le Bureau est situ6 au Robson Square Media

en el pais, como una muestra de la expresi6n de Sociologia y
Cultura de distintas zonas del mundo, por via de los medios
de peliculas y videograbacines. Los organizadores de CICAES
XI quieren expresar su gratitud a los Archivos P6blicos de
CanadA pro su apoyo e interns en el Congreso.
