Luke 18; 18-29 What shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?--Do not
commit adultery. kill, steal, bear false witness, defraud not, honor
thy father and aother.---All these have I observed.---Sell whatever
thy hast and give to the poor--tske up the cross, and follow me.'---
Turned away.----"How hardly shall the! that have riches enter the
kingdom of heaven."
Shocked--I, too, have wanted to be rich.
genefits of wealth:
Charity---church support---philanthropy
Seisure to worship God
Security for self and children.
Pleasure
But the theme of condemnation of riches pervades all the Bible
Hoses berated the wanterers for forgetting God when their flocks multiplied
Luke: Cant woe unto you that are rich, for you have received your con-
solation.
Luke 12:16--Story of rich man, more barne--"Thou fool, this night thy
soul shall be required of thee."

That is our problem as a nation-~how so to Ill our wealth as not to be a
slave to it
We don't want to stoop to the materialism of communism
We arv stewards----use to the best interests of God's children
Training and education people of other lands to elevate themselves.
As individuals--not preoccupied with the collection of wealth.
Not selfish and greedy with the wealth we have
