I am pleased to be here today

To welcome your guests

To enjoy your company

To salute this convention in the name or the peeple of Florida,
and to thank you individually and collectively for what
you have done for Florida

We have every reason to be proud of our State

Because of yOur inspiration and support

The more I become involved in governmental processes, the more conscious
I become of the dependence of government upon peeple and
organization like yours.

Good citizenship is the key.

We have a great secondary education program in Florida
Our salaries for teachers are above the national average
Our textbooks are modern and in good supply
Our classroom construction pregrams are sound
Our students rank with the best

This could not have happened without broad public understanding and
support
