Mr. C. Farris Bryant
Florida State Chairman
New March of Dimes
P.O. Box 563
Ocala, Florida
Dear Mr. Bryant:
l canted to take this belated opportunity to offer my sincere and hearty
congratulations to you and Mrs. Bryant on the wise choice of the peeple in
Florida.
I can't really express how pleased I was over your resounding
victory throughOut the entire state. At the same time, i would like to
proffer my best wishes for a most successful term of office for vau.
i see. by a capy of the letter written to you by Burr Gibson. that Mr.
O'Connor will be writing you shortly asking you to serve as Honorary State
Chairman.
Gale, Ed Foreman, the State Advisors and myself have all been
of the opinion that we would like nothln
9 more than for you to serve again
during IOOOf-l96l_as_§tate§hairman.
During the three years which you have served as State Chairman, a great
deal has been happening to The National Foundation--change and challen e
have been constant.
Through all of this, your efforts on our behalf have
been truly appreciated.
We sincerely hope that you will be able to accept
Mr. O'Connor's invitation to serve again.
By this time, Gale has probably spoken with you on the phone regarding our
disCussion about the State Chairmanship. Knowing the heavy duties and re-
sponsibilities that you will be assumlng in January, we felt that it might
be practicable to appoint three Associate State Chairmen--one for each area
in the state, to serve for the year by your appointment. While we had dis-
cussed something along these lines, we would most assuredly abide by your
feelings and decision in this matter.
Again, let me offer my congratulations to you and Mrs. Bryant. Hoping to
see vou soon. i remain
(92:;ferelv yours,
Waite D. Anderson
State Representative
