Mr. Farris Bryant
Florida State Chairman
New March of Dimes
Ocaia. Florida

Dear Mr. Bryant:

Now that the New March of Dimes for 1960 is a matter of
history. I am more than ever convinced that our success is
primarily attributable to the effectiveness of our key volunteer
leadership.

To you who have served so capably as a rallying force
for the people of Florida I extend an invitation to carry on the
good work and serve as Honorary State Chairman for the [961
campaign.

I know from your efforts in the past that you not only
have grasped the significance of the new work in which we are
engaged. but have acted positively and enthusiastically to bring
about its early accomplishment. As a volunteer of some
experience. I recognize the personal sacrifice that this entails
in terms of time and effort. 1 ask yen to balance this considerable
contribution against the product of your effort --- the restoration
of dignity and self-sufficiency to many who without your help
would be forced to live with the heavy burden of hopeless
disability.

The seed of new victories in the fight against disease
already has been sown as a result of your support. With your
continued assistance. there is every reason to anticipate from

our far-reaching programs a record of progressive achievement

vaccine.

1 look forward to your acceptance of this key position
in the ensuing campaign.

Sincerely yours,

eJoQM/t

President
