Rev. J. H. P ley
Bristol, Flor

Dear Rev. Presley:

I have today received your-check for $1500.00, which
completes tne agreed-upon down payment on the purchase
or our house at lJl6 East Pall Street in Oeala. As
eoon as the eeorow agreement ia returned to me I will
deposit it with a warranty dead as agreed with the ee-
crow agent.

It is very unfortunate tmghmisunderatanding arose
over tne carpet, and re. at and I greatly regret
it. Tne carpet in sznxlana, approximately #3 square
yards, is priced new at $17.95, and liee on a rubber

mat at an additional cost I have forgotten. In addition
we paio $60.00 for installation.

We recogniae, or course, tnat the rug ia not now new,
and altho we can use it in our new house, and plan to do
so, it will not be completely satisfactory for us. I
will therefore be willing to sell it to you for $258.00,
which is $6.00 per yard. This you could pay for in cash
or on such terla as are convenient to you.

Incidentally. it you do decide to purchase the carpet.
Mrs. Bryant has some pieces of furniture lioh one does
not have a place for in.the new houee, and it may be thI
you would like to conlFer them-

In any event, we would appreciate knowing about it soon,
as Mrs. Bryant aunt complete her own furniehang plane.

Sincerely yours.
