Dear Governor Parrar:

As you vill recall, I wrote you earlier this year inviting
you to make use of AClR's resources and calling your attention to
a suggestion that the States make annual token contributions to
the support of the Advisory Commission. I was delighted to learn
that the South Dakota Legislature at its 1969 session approved the
inclusion of $1,000 in the budget of the Legislative Research
Council to cover South Dakota's contribution to the Advisory
Commission for the fiscal year beginning July 1, l969.

We are most grateful for the contribution. The added finan-
cinl support from State governments has permitted us to broaden
somewhat our service to tho States. As one example, we have in-
augurated an "Information Bulletin" service. its purpose is to
provide key officials with inlornation on intergovernmental devel-
opments that otherwise might not reach their attention. Enclosed
is a list of the subjects covered by the bulletins issued thus far.
They are sent automatically to governors and their assistants,
Federal-State coordinators, departments of local affairs. lieutenant
governors. attorneys general. budget officers, directors of admin-
istration. legislative loaders, and legislative service agencies.
We want to be sure that contributing States are adequately provided
with these additional materials that their contributions have node

possible. if you'd like for other key officials in South Dakota
to receive the bulletins as they are issued, please let us know.
