June 13, 1969

Honorable Farris Bryant
Bryant, Freeman, Richardson
and Natson

711 Barnett Bank Building
Jacksonville, Florida 32208

Dear Governor:

Sorry I missed you after the break-up of the
meeting today but assume that we will see each other
Tuesday for the Hearing. Enclosed is the statement
that we had prepared for you last week with the under-
lined portions being the part that might be read. The
Subcommittee had indicated that they wanted a detailed
statenwnl from us since it is an ACIR bill. You may
wish to curb the underlining further in terms of what
you would actually read. An additional. unmarked copy
is encloeed for your convenience.

If you wish, we can meet here at the office abOut
9:15 a.m. or so with a little reheraing among you, Dave

and me before going up, or, if you prefer, we can meet

you up there. The Hearing will be held in Room 2203
Rayburn House Office Building. I will be in Princeton on
Monday 40 if you want to talk about this you might call
Dave (202 382-3221) or you can have Phyllis leave a
message with my secretary.

Thanks very much.

Sincerely yours,

I" 1
