ADVISORY COMMISSION ON INIERGOVERNMENTAL RELAYIONS
msnmcron. o.c. um
April 15, 1969
Honorable Farris Bryant
Bryant, Freeman, Richardson
and Ratson
711 Barnett Bank Building
Jacksonville, Florida 32208
Dear Governor:
Enclosed is a front-and-back clipping from today's
Post regarding the "hunger" activities of a couple of more
Senators. I agree with your comment that we've certainly
got an inadequate use of resources by the people concerned.
Apparently a very great many do not know that food or food
stamps are available through the welfare programs. Others
seem to lack the initiative to claim the food, while in
other cases the county officials take a pretty callous
attitude.
It was certainly good to be with you on Friday. As
always you ran a good meeting in a masterful way.
Sf:§§{jifiour.
Hm. c. Colman
Executive Director
Best regards.
