Dear Governor Bryant:
This is to acknowledge receipt of your letter of
July 11, 1967. We are tentatively scheduling your
appearance here for October 16, and are looking forward
to your visit. We certainly hope that you can give us
final confirmation of this by around the middle of Sep-
tember, as you suggested in your note, since we want to
firm our schedule up and also want to make arrangements
for television and news coverage of your address. We will
also want to make a special effort to see that we have a large
turn-out for the meeting.
Since I know that you are undOubtedly besieged by
numerous speaking reQuests, I would like to state for
your information that the Tampa Downtown Exchange Club
is one of the tap two or three civic clubs on the Florida
West coast. We anticipate having at least 100 of Tampa's
business and professional leaders on hand for the occasion.
I certainly hope that you can be with us on October 16.
Sincerely yours,
JCB/Jb
