Subject: News Release on [ederalisu and the Academic Coal-unit!

The Government Printing Office has promised delivery early next
week of ACIR's new information report entitled gederalisl and the

Academic Omunitx. Enclosed is a draft news release. You still note
that it carries a release date of Monday, A.M.. May 26, 1969. The

basic release will be nailed {run this office on Hednesday Kay 21.

A nunber of members of the Comission have expressed particular
interest in the findings of this survey that use conducted by the A011
staff with the cooperation of the American Political Science Association.

Members who wish for us to individualiae the release by adding
their quote to the basic release and sending it to their hone state
news media should phone us before noon. Tuesday. Kay 20 with their quote.
The individualised release in each case would identify the member and
carry whatever quote he wished to have included. (Please call

Gene Elkins or as at Area Code 202?.)
