UNITED STATES SENATE

WASHINGTON. D. C.

JOSEPH D, Tvomos
MMVLANO

April 6, 1966

The Honorable Farris Bryant
Director

Office of Emergency Flaming
The White House

Washington, D. C .

Dear Farris:

Congratulations upon the confirmation by
the Senate of your nomination as Director of the
Office of Emergency Planning. It certainly is one

of the most important and responsible positions
in the Executive Branch and the President was,

indeed, fortunate to secure your services.

When your schedule eases up somewhat,
I wish you would give me a call and we'll have
lunch in the Senate on a mutually agreeable date.

Perhaps I can invite some of my colleagues to join
us.

In any event. congratulations and good luck
on your important work.

Sincerely,

Joseph D. lygings
