Honday night. April 6. 196". The following members were present:

Mrs. Robert Biuger. Chairman. presided. The minutes of the January 13th
meeting were appnoved as distributed.

Hr. Grady Well. member of the hominatinr. Comittee, distributed a list
giving the nominees for Board members (This list wi 11 be filed with the minutes).
Hr. liaxwen then presented the slate of officers offered by the humiliating Com-
mitteez

Treasurer Mr. Hillim Cullen.

He made the notion that the report be accepted. 111a floor was opened for nomina-
tion of officers or for Board members. Or. were made the notion that the slate
of officers be accepted as pnesented by the nomination connittee. This was oe-
conded and passed. Mr. Grady Main-veil presented the new of Mr. Gary Lanham, from
John Henley tiethodist Church, as an additional nominee for Board membership. Dr.
Griffith Pugh made the notion that we accept the list of nominees for Board mezz-
bers on pmented plus Hr. Lanham. This was seconded and passed. The new members
will begin with the conference year in June.

The (mailman presented ies Emily Heals who gave a zeport on the florid; "3!
Conference. held at the [auburg Youth Coop in February. The theme for the Con-
ference was "That All Might Be One." Baily has just completed her year as Freei-
dcnt of the Florida :45".

Hrs. Ringer read sane letters of appreciation that mm been left or sent to
the Foundation. to show a little of what is happening to the students and the
scope and meaning of the program.

Copies of the proposed budget for lean-65 were distributed. Hrs singer exv
plained how the budget was devoloped and then discussed it item by item. Miss
Gino explained how the Confemnoe Board of Education note on budgets of the
Henley Foimdationo. lire. Ringer explained that the $600 fomly allowed the
director for utilities and heat at the parsonage in now included in the proposed
salary figure. Dr. Holmes stated that ministers were permitted to deduct amounts
for utilities for income tax purponen. Mrs. Crotty moved that the following re-
solution be adopted by our Board.

WEREAS. Section 107 of The Internal Revenue Code provides
for the exclusion from gross income. the rental allowance
recein by a Minister of the Gospel as: part of his con-

Internal Revenue Code provides for rent, utilities and ap-
purtenances thereto of property occupied by a Ninister as
his peromal residence. and

RESOLVED By the Board of Directon: of said Henley Foundation.
duly mumbled this sixth day of April. 1961), that 51,000 of
the salary of The Reverend Austin 5. Hollady and $1,000 of
the salary of the minister appointed to this Foundation at the
Annual Conference of June. 196%, be designated as "rental a1
louence" subject to such Income Tax considerations as provided
in the above mentioned section of The Internal Revenue Code.

The above resolution was seconded and passed unanimusly,

Mr. May indicated that he felt the director's salary should be changed fun
the proposed $7,300 to $7.800. Dr. Pugh moved that the proposed budget be accepted
with the following changes: (1) Director's salary changed from $7300 to $7.600
and (2) Treasurer's salary be mtinued at $1120 instead of $360 as listed. The
motion was seconded and passed.

The Chairman announced that we have jus: received word that we are again an
accredited Wesley Foundation. The Board use asked to approve membership of our
Foundation in the Association of Henley foundations with annual dues of $25.00.
After a brief discussion Rev. Rutland moved that we appmve nenberahip. The mo-
tion carried.

Mrs. Binger announcad the appointment of His: Jane Stentz to our professional
staff in the position now held by Miss Edwards. Hide Stent: will begin work on

June 1.

ies Deanne. Edwards announced the new staff hostesses for the coming year.
For Trimester 111 they will be time}; winter and Brenda Stickney, both seniors and
both newborn of the United Student Fellowship. For Trimester X and II. Cecelia
Jones and Dianne Davis will serve as hostesses.

The Reverend D.L. Floyd presented for the Board's consideration "Project
Tallahassee." The purpose of the project is to give everyone opportunity to sign
petitions requesting an amendment to the Constitution of the limited States guar-
anteeing the right of voluntary prayer. This petition-aiming project is spon
sored nationally by the International Christian Youth. U.S.A. lhe project will he

conducted by youth at various places throughout the city on Saturday, april 11.
The Reverend Floyd's questim to the Board concerned whether or not we should go

on record as urging the Wesley Foundation students to participate actively in this
project. After much discussion, a number of motions which were amended and then

withdrawn, the motion was offered by Rev. Rutland that the Board offer approval to
Rev. Hollady and the students to study the Becker amendment to the 0.5. Constitu-

tion and to take whatever action they feel appropriate. entirely independent of
any orgmization or group other than the Methodist Church. this motion was se-

cmded and passed.

The Chaim reported that the work at Alumni Village had been transferred
from the Board of Missions and Church Extension to the Conference Board of Educa-
tion with direct responsibility in the hands of the P.S.U. Henley Foundation. Rev.
Hollady discussed briefly plans being fomlated for carrying on the work with the
married students at Alumni Village.

Dr. Vance and Rev. Hollady coelnented briefly on the joining of the United
Student Fellarahip group with the Vesley foundation. Dr. Vance said all his re-
ports had been very favordale. Rev. Hollady stated that there had been great eo-
operetion. with several of the students of the United Student Fellowship partici-

pating regularly .

The Chain-an offered final appreciation to Dr. NW and are. John Crotty
(uhoso Lame are expiring) and to Miss Edwards who has resigned as of June 30.

Dr. Hollies gave the closing prayer.
