A year ago this month. was my pleasure to talk over
television to some 200 communities holding simultaneous

banquets to honor their local industry.

That was based on 1961's 715 new plants and expansions

and 20.172 new employees.

This year, it's my privilege to again address as many

groups gathered together for the same reason.

Now have even more to appreciate and be thankful for.
In 1962, an estimated 750 new plants and expansions

and 22,000 new employees.

Final count will establish Floridas new growth in

industry.

Growth has been compatible with other legs of economy.

Greatest potential lies ahead.

assembled will be on display at Florida Industries

One salute. on behalf of people of Florida and myself.
the industrialists and community leaders, who have made
Plorida's growth possible. At community dinners tonight
throughout Florida. these men will receive my personal

Appreciation Award. Hy congratulations to each.

Two urge all citizens of Florida to recognize the
importance of buying Florida-made goods and urge all
citizens to make themselves aware of the products of

our State.

The Florida Development Commission has launched a
program to identify Florida-made goods as Made in
Florida For You By Ploridiane. Urge you to watch

for and ask for this label.

The citizens can help show their appreciation, along

with those in State Government for our valuable

industries.
