Dear Farris:-
Your letter of the 18th at hand. I appreciate the reply and
realise the cause for delay in answering, which was even sooner
than I had expected.
The purpose of this letter is a request for the consideration of
the appointment of myself, if elected, to two committees; one,
the committee in charge of legislation involving game and fresh
water fish commission, and other conservation measures- two,the
constitutional amendment conmittee. The reason for th 3 request
is that I am appeali to the people of central Florida to elect
me on the basis that will introduce a resolution for constitu-
tional amendment to make it illegal to sell, seine and ship
fresh water sport fish for commercial purgoses in the State of
Florida. I feel that in order to be fait ful to my constituents,
should I be elected, that I should be on these committees.
Please consider this and my request for such appointments, if I
am elected.
I know and apnreciate that you will not be able, nor have the
time to consider these requests at this time, but when it is
convenient and you are able to do so, I sincerely will appreciate
any consideration you may give my requests.
I am also very glad to learn that we see eye to eye on Russell.
If there is anything that I can do for him in my small way
down here, please let me know.
