(Legislation recommended by Circuit Judge Conference)

Rouse 3111 No. 408. This bill provides that sub-
section 4 of Section 394.22, Florida Statutes,t>e amended
by deleting the provision therein for transfer to the cir-
cuit court, so as to give the county Judge exclusive juris-
diction cr proceedings for the restoration of sanity
under said section, with the right or appeal to the cir-
cuit court. At the present time the circuit Judge pre-
sides over proceedings for the restoration of sanity. It
is urged that because the county judge is the Judicial
officer adjudging a person insane that he should in all

cases be the person who shall preside over restoration

of sanity proceedings.
