Dear Farris:

Enclosed is information relating to trends in revenue receipts and disbursements.
ihe annual change for the period covered will require considerable time, but
may be of sufficient use to the members of the legislature to iustify this. We are
prepared to furnish such information in the form of a report containing charts
and graphs whenever directed to do so by the Council. May I suggest that you
present the matter to the Council at its next meeting so that we may receive
instructions concerning further procedure .

The analysis made by Arthur Cunlcle is based upon schedules contained in the

1954 Report of the Comptroller, which constitutes an innovation in reports by

that office. The report on disbursements will be found on pages 190 and l9l of
this report and the information relating to revenue is found on pages loo and I67
of the I954 report. If you do not have a copy of the Comptroller's report for l954
please let me know and we will obtain one for you.

I have received no instructions with reference to notices for the next meeting of
the Council, but I am assuming that Roy plans to call one at an early date.
Meantime if there is any further information or elaboration you desire with
reference to the enclosed data, please let me know.
