§HERIFF'S BILL NUMBER i
A BILL

TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT PROVIDDIG THAT THE SHERIFF CF THE COUNTY SHALL
BE THE EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF ALL COURTS IN THE STATE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE IEGISLATURE C! THE STATE (1? FLGIIDA:

Section 1. The sheriff of the county shall he the _
executive officer of each and all the courts in the state,
provided only that if the sheriff shall, for any reason,
be disqualified or unable to act, the Judge may then
appoint any individual, not interested in the case on
trial, to serve process and perform all duties of such
executive officer.

Section 2. All laws and parts of laws in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.

Section 3. This act shall become effective on
October 1, 1953.
