Dear Hex:
Hhen Farris was in Miami last !riday, I discussed with
him the survey made by Louis Harris 8 Associates, and offered the
following suggestions which he concurred in:
l. The contents ol the survey should be the backbone
and guide for us to follow during the campaign.
2. All campaign advertising and literature should be
based on information contained in the survey. This applies to
newspaper advertising, radio and television copy, pamphlets, platform.
conic books. etc.
3. Farris should make an all-out effort and leave no
stone unturned to attempt to obtain the support of George Snathers.
4. Farris should make an all-out effort to obtain the
support of the Hiani Herald, the Miami News, the Tampa Tribune
and the Orlando Sentinel.
5. The second survey should be ordered fron Louis Harris
a Associates, and timed to reach us no later than April 10th. so
that we will be able to properly snide our campaign during the
last three weeks and make whatever adjustments in our strategy as
are necessary.
6. Parris' tine from now until April lat should be
allotted as follows:
Miami area
Jacksonville area
Tampa-st. Petereburg area
Balance of State
