Mr. Farris Bryant
Post Office Box 563
Ocala, Florida

Dear Farris:

In talking with Bill Jibb in your office today. I found
out for the first time that you were going to be in Miami on
Saturday, December 19th. for a cocktail party at the residence
of Ray Marchman, Jr . 3495 Main Highway. CocOnut Grove .
I immediately called Tom Barkdull and he told me that this was
the first he had heard of it.

It is rather embarrassing to those of us who are trying
to help you set up an organization in this County to learn of
these commitments after they are made. I dou't think it wise

for you to accept any invitations in this County without first
clearing with either Tom Barkdull or Jim Kehoe who have been

given the responsibility of the co-rnanagership of your campaign
here.

I can't impress upon you too strongly that there are many
and varied factions in Dade County, and from now until the end
of the campaign, you will receive many invitations All of these
invitatitms shoald be cleared and arranged through Barkdull or

Kehoe, one of whom can always be reached by telephone I
think if you would follow this suggestiOn, yOu will find it very
beneficial over the long haul.

Cordially .

we;

Perrine Palmer. Jr.
