Mr. Farris Bryant
Post Office Box 563
Ocala. Florida

Dear Farris:

A friend of mine whom I consider to be one of the moat
informed men in the State advised me today that he had heard
that the Tampa Tribune and the Miami Herald were at this time
leaning towards Doyle Carlton. He also adviaed me that the
Orlando Sentinel was at this time leaning towards Buddy Dickinson.

1 para thin on to you as information. but not as a definite
conclusion. It. however. is my considered judgment that you
should do everything within your power to arrange an early
appointment with the publishers of these three papers to discuss
your candidaCy and your program {or the campaign.

With warm personal regards. I am.
Sincerely,
Perrine Palmer. Jr.
