Dear Max:
The enclosed clipping on Lester Lambert is self-explanatory,
together with a letter which will require the signature of Farris,
and should be mailed inmediotoly to the hospital. I have alao ord-
ered another plant with Farris' name and had it delivered to Leater'a
r0000
As I have said so many times before, we are most solicitoua
of Lester Lambert in that he is one person that can withstand the
republican onslaught because of hie popularity with democrat and
republican alike.
I have written Dick Irwin for a ruling on his opinion to the
effect that a public office holder can use his stationery and write
letters of solicitation on behalf of another candidate. When I get
the opinion and it says what we understand it says, 1 shall approach
Lester with the view that a personal letter over his signature be
written to every democrat in Pinellae County and mailed out shortly
before the first primary. I know of no individual that can get us
more votes than Lester and that's why I an countently oolicitous of
his welfare.
Cordially

was signed by his secretary during his absence from the office.s
