I tried to call you, but since you are out of town
was unable to get you. I thought therefore I would semi the

Briefly, my survey or the situation shows that in
East Volusia County you obtained about 60% of the vote, and
in West Volusia County, about 70% of the vote. In Brevard
County, if the election were held today, you would get about
205;; of the vote. In Indian River County, it would be about
to 110%; St. Male and Martin County, about 70% to 30%,-
Palm Beach Count about 66% to 33-1/5; reward County,
about 50% to ; Seminole County, about to 10%; Orange
County, 60% to .
Attached hereto is a memoranium of the conversations
I had with the various people in the various counties, it you
desire to take the time to read it. From what I can learn,
you are needlessly worried about the Catholics being upset due
to your not supporting Kennedy. Although there are some
Kennedy people who are quite u set about your not supporting
Kennedy more vigorously, I c not find any evidence or the
Catholics as a group feeling this way. The main criticism in
Orange and Brward County was in regard to the turnpike, but

in both counties I was informed your recent statements had
helped the situation considerably.
Other than the above two matters, there do not seem
to be any criticisms of your actions.
