Thank you for your letter of November 22,
1960, concerning the appointment for Tax
Assessor in Duval County.
As you are aware by the newspapers there is
some question at this point as to who will
have the power to appoint the Tax Assessor
after midnight, January 2, and in the event
the court rules that I have such power you
can rest assured that careful consideration
will be given to all aspects of such appointment.
I appreciate very much your assistance in
the past and look forward to your continued
friendship.
