Mr. Farris Bryant
P. O. Box 1773
Ocala. Florida
Deer Farris:
Please accept my sincere congratulations on your line victory in yesterday's
election. We enclose page one of today's Sarasota Herald Tribune.
The heavy Republican vote was apparently a reection of Anti-Kenmdy
sentiment. in which many nominal Democrats participated.
'Ihelocalmmocratic slatehadanamberoioutstsndmgcandidntesandwe
are extremely disappointed that such men as Representative William Boylston and
Legislative Aspirant William 8. Robertson were detected.

was perhaps responsible {or runny indivithnls voting astrnight ticket. regardless of the
merit of the individual candidates.
Certainly the State~wide Slate did what they could to help the local candidates
in this area. We heard several very effective broadcasts Saturday evening, including
your own [ind presentation from 8:30 to 9:00 o'clock over WPLA.
We personally feel that you have been elected governor at a most strategic
time and that despite yesterday's adverse results on the local scene. that you will 8113
realize your lite-long ambition as an all-Florida Governor.
With kind personal regards,
, Sincerely.
We
