HIGHEit EDUCATION
The expansion of our college systems is of utmost importance to Florida's future la June of this year sturlents will be graduated from Florida's high schools. But existing instituttorts of higher Leeraing, both public and private, can accept only new attiden es ,
1. I had a part in the conception of Florida's Junior college program that resulted in the building DE new Junior colleges with a total enrollment of Thia Junior College program must be eacpanded until every colinty is participating and the benefits of higher education are readily available to every young man and minan in our state.
2. Milt eatication and advanced training programs minst be expanded and improved through our Junior colleges and Universities so that our citizens may have ample opportunity to improve their economic status and their capacity to live full, useful and happy lives.
3. Our great universities at Tallahassee { bhite and negro) and at Gaineaville must be improved colitillually to keep pace with the growing demands of our citizens and of this challenging period.
4. I had a part in the ersation of the University of South Florida in Florida's west Coast. It must be completed without delay to make its facilities immediately available to that populous area of our state. 5. I shall continue to work as E did in the legislature of 1955, for the craation of a new state univesity in Southeast Florida.
