PERSONAL & CONFIDENTIAL

Honorable Farris Bryant
Governor-Elect

Duval Hotel, Room 201
Tallahassee, Florida

Dear Farris:
The attached correspondence will be of interest to you.

As you know Aline voted and supported you but Edwin was
unable to do so because of a prior commitment and a
close relationship with Doyle in the nursery and agri-
cultural business. However, Edwin likes you, and I
know that he has advised you he would do everything
possible to work with you. I can be of tremendous as-
sistance to you in this particular spot. Please keep
this in mind and any time you have a matter that I may
be or assistance on, don't hesitate to let me know. I
will do some more spade work and feel that you will be
able to count on him during the session.

I think that you should certainly assure each and every
member or the legislature th did not support you that
the red carpet is out and they will always be welcome.
However, do not write 5mm anything concerning this cor-
respondenCe as it is given to you confidentially.

I have been discussing with some members of the legisla-
ture your administration and have some interesting comments
that I would like to go over with you when the opportunity
presents itself. As you know I haVe a very close relation-
ship with a number of them and many times will really know
what they are thinking probably more than you because of
your position.

Sincerely,

ee-144

Broward Williams
