FARRIS BRYANT FOR GOVERNOR
"Best Qualified -- By Far
#2
BRYANT SPEECH LIBRARY For use of:
City and County
SUBJECT: "Bryant and Integrity Speakers' Committees
approx. Length: 2 minutes
I've been living in Florida for years ... and for
of those years, I've known our candidate, Farris Bryant.
I realized in 1953, when Farris was Speaker of the House, that
Florida industry had an intelligent ear ... a representative of not one
county, nor one faction, but a statewide legislator who would carefully
consider the issues involved, and work tirelessly to provide a solution of
benefit to the majority.
On every occasion Farris Bryant was fair, cooperative and courteous.
He is a man of integrity!
Integrity is what we want from our next governor. With Farris Bryant
as Governor, we'll have it ... and so will all the citizens of this great
state. I know. I've seen the man in action.
For example, we know that when traffic began to flow from Ft.Pierce
to Miami on the turnpike it was because a man named Bryant introduced the
Bill and led it to passage in 1953. t is a testimonial to Bryant's
determination to serve the state in that area, even when an elected
Representative, as he was then, of another. A man of integrity:
No part of our great state will be sacrificed to the pressures, or
politics of any other part when Bryant is Governor. He knows the needs

of each county. He has studied and evaluated these needs to find solutions
that will not damage other areas.
Bryant's term as Speaker of the House in 1953 is well remembered as
one of the most fruitful of all legislative sessions. His tremendous
popularity gave him great influence in the House, and he used it wisely.
Sectional differences were adjusted for the common good, and all
parts of Florida ... large counties and small ... gained by his ability
to get fellow Legislators to work together without so much regard to area
differences.
Yes ... Farris Bryants integrity in the Legislature has made him
"Florida's most honored gubernatorial candidate.
This is the man who at the end of his term in 1955 was voted the
"Host Valuable Member of the Entire Legislature -~ both Senate and
House --"
Farris Bryant is by far our most qualified candidate for Florida's
next Governor. I thank you.
