INIRODUCTIOR or FARMS BRYANT
"I now have the pleasant honor of introducing our candi-
date for governor of Florida. A proper introduction should
include the highlights of a man's career, the things he has
accomplished and helped to accouplish. It should eebrace the
honors which have been bestowed upon him and mention a few of the
nice things others have said about him.
I'm not going to do that today -- not because I wouldn't
like to, but because if I took the tine necessary to go over the
entire portfolio of Farris Bryant achievements the fellow I'm
supposed to be introducing would never get to speak.
Therefore, I asked state headquarters to please nineograph
an accurate "story of Farris Bryant" and they did so. These are
the nimeographed sheets which are now being distributed.
Let me say this: I don't know where Farris found the
time and energy to offer himself so unselfisth to so many fine
organizations doing such inportant work throughout the state,
while still. maintaining a most enviable family life with his
lovely wife and three daughters. His record is nothing short
of amazing.
Please read every line of that nineographed document
and then quote from it to at least one friend every day from
now on. I can assure you that they still agree that the man we
are about to hear is not only eminently (palified to serve our
state in its highest position, but that he has the finest set
of credentials 3! FA! -
