The Honorable Farris Bryant
Post Office Box 1898
Ocala, Florida

Dear Farris:

Hay ahth will long be remembered as a great day for the
people of Florida. Your campaign was a magnificent example
of morality, integrity and courage. May I Join with the
hundreds of thousands of dedicated Florida citizens who

congratulate you and who pledge their support to you through-
out your administration.

I anticipate with much excitement and great humility the
opportunity to take a position of leadership on the floor
and in the committees of the House of Representatives in
carrying out your great program for Florida's future. I
am deeply interested in your desire to correct the seeming
inefficiency of the Road Department. I also believe that
some attention should be given to the activities of certain
super liberal staff members and professors at some of our
universities. It is my feeling that a person employed by
the people of the State of Florida should not busy them-
selves creating discontent and disorderliness among our
young people. I have several ideas which I think will be
helpful in your program of more economic administration of
the various departments. I will discuss all of these
matters with you at our first opportunity.

Farris. on June 30th the Tallahassee Bar Association, of
which my brother, Harry, is president, in association with
the Tri-County Medical Association. is having a Joint busi-
Enesa and social day. we will have a business meeting in

the afternoon and a banquet in the evening, to which the
ladies will be invited. It would be a great compliment if

you could find time in your busy schedule to be with us in
the afternoon,or preferably in the evening, for the purpose

of bringing us a message from our next Governor. Please
advise me when you are able to determine whether you can

make this address for us.

Please give my best regards to Julia.
wife for you, and I know you know it.
